About

My name is Nicholas Fish. I am a postbaccalaurete researcher interested in the intersection of neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and medicine. I have experience in labs focusing on behavioral neuroscience as well as physiological data analysis at Chapman University and UC Irvine respectively. I am eager to apply to medical schools in the next year/year following with a clinical interest in acute neurologic injury, emergency medicine and public health, as well as the long term treatment of severe brain injury and disorders of consciousness. I believe that applying the combination of clinical, philosophical, and scientific scrutiny to the problem of consciousness will not only yield better theoretical understanding, but also bring immediate benefit to those who are suffer from disorders of consciousness.

With this website I hope to share some of my thoughts in essay format, compile research that I find compelling, and provide a homebase for my academic and professional profile - as well as network with anyone else who share any interests of mine.
